Preview: Rodger looks at Edinburgh Bloods

Ahead of Saturday's (May 11) game against the Edinburgh Bloods, Head Coach Chris Rodger talks about his plans for the game against last years AFL Scotland Premiers.

After being able to field a big squad against Glasgow Giants last time out, Rodger won't have that luxury this time. However, the Head Coach is happy with what's at his disposal;

"We have had great numbers on the track these past few weeks....we just need them all available each week. Unfortunately, we don't have that luxury very often....tomorrow is one of those times with unavailability and a few injuries hitting us this week.

"However, I am happy with the squad and feel we can shake a few bones on the park."

The game is a tough one so early in the season, with the Bloods fresh off the back of a championship winning campaign before getting 2019 underway with a 143-57 win over the Glasgow Giants and a 106-95 win over the Glasgow Sharks in a 2018 Grand Final match-up. However, Rodger hopes the Tigers can make things uncomfortable for their opponents.

"I have a few tricks up my sleeve for the Bloods tomorrow so am hopeful that it will push them out of their comfort zone and make them question themselves.

"Each game the squad changes so much but on the track, we are all working off the same sheet so things are moving in the right direction.

"It's a big game against last years premiers but the Tigers have never shirked any issues with any opposition and never will."

Bounce is set for 2pm at the Gosforth Sports Association (NE3 2NH).
