2018 SARFL Game 2 - Home v Greater Glasgow Giants

The Tigers had a day the club will never forget.
Earning the clubs first ever points at home against the reigning premiers...Greater Glasgow Giants!!
In what turned out the be a bit of a whitewash the boys turned it on in style...as they hunted in packs and played clean crisp but hard footy.

Again we kicked the first goal of the game from best on ground Jimbo!!
From there we were never headed as the goals continued to be pilled on.
The Tiger's hunted in Streaks and the Giants had no real answer for this attack!
Jimbo was winning every tap and was just about roving his own work...he was on fire and has started the year in blistering form.
Ross...who had not kicked a footy for about 12 months looked like he had been doing undercover work in the AFL for a year such was his dominance and pace around the ground!!
Everywhere you looked you saw Tiger commitment and run!
New to the Tiger's was Josh (Pom)....who can get through any pack whether there was a gap or not!! His work around the ground was phenomenal!
By half time the Tiger's had opened up a 42 point lead and that's exactly how it looked and felt.
The boys were pumped and the feeling under the tree's at half time was fantastic. But we all the knew that was only half the job.
The first few goals of the 3rd quarter were going to be telling. If the Giants got it then they would think they might find a way back!!
Well there was no chance of that after we held them goaless in the premiership quarter. We knew it was our day when Mikey kicked a rippa on the run from a good 35 meters out!!
During the 4th the Giants tried to mount a challenge but the Tiger's just kept on believing and continued to dominate and squash any hope of a Giants comeback!!
One of the last kicks of the game was a beauty from Mini on the boundary...what a way to finish!!
The write ups regarding the game from different media outlets were a joy to read....World Footy News reported......."The club recorded one of the finest victories in the club's history."
But as always the season continues as we take on The Kingdom Kangaroos on the 26th May at home.
That in itself is a massive game!!
Lets make last saturday even better by backing it up with back to back wins!!
